Nelu is the Awana missionary for Romania and a founding member of BIG Impact. His vision is to bring together the organizations involved in children’s ministry, making them more efficient in the local churches.
He came to know the Lord during the evangelistic movement in the 70′s in the 2nd Baptist Church from Oradea – now “Emmanuel Baptist” – a movement which took part in Crisana, his home town.
In the summer of 1977, driven by his passion for Christ and burdened by the questions and worries of his childhood and teenage years, he began working with children without having had any previous training in this area.
In the summer of 1991, quite providentially, he came in contact with the leaders of Awana Clubs International and he became involved as a volunteer in the implementation and development of the Awana program in Romania . Since 1996, Nelu and his wife have worked as Awana missionaries in Romania .
Married since 1980, Nelu and Corina Paul are blessed with 2 children, Dorothea-Cristiana and Sebastian-Beniamin. They live in Oradea , where they serve the Lord.
