Curriculum development for BIG 5.2

„Jesus, undeterred, went right ahead and gave his charge: “God authorized and commanded me to commission you: Go out and train everyone you meet, far and near, in this way of life, marking them by baptism in the threefold name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Then instruct them in the practice of all I have commanded you. I’ll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age.” (Mathey 28:19-20).

How does the 21st century church fulfill this mandate? How and to what extent do we apply today this commandment of Christ?

Beginning with 2007, BIG Impact has launched the BIG5 leadership school course series. This fall will be dedicated to “Discipleship as a way of life” course. Over 20 people are working together for the development of the curriculum, each individual being committed to invest tens of hours monthly, both for online meetings and for in-person meetings, for thinking through and developing all the materials needed for the course.

Therefore, on March 16-18, the BIG national curriculum development team met at Vulcan, Brasov County, for working at the course. For three days, all the lessons, seminars and projects were evaluated at the content level. The work has been continued in the next meeting who took place as well at Vulcan during May 19-21 and the following curriculum development in-person meetings will take place again at Vulcan on June 17-19.
